Buy verified, traceable nutrient credits

Purchasing certified nutrient credits through our nature markets will help you meet nutrient neutrality requirements and achieve your goals.

What we offer

We offer both phosphorus credits (P-credits) and nitrogen credits (N-credits) that meet the nutrient neutrality requirements set out by local planning authorities.

Our nutrient credits meet all the certainty tests – legal, financial, scientific and delivery – required to help you to secure planning permission from local authorities. And all our nutrient credits are traceable through our platform and the official registries.

Nutrient credits that make a local impact

Our markets enable you to buy nutrient credits to suit your needs, including fractions of credits. EnTrade certifies nature-based projects – such as wetlands, woodlands or grasslands – undertaken by local landholders. Businesses can bid for the credits these generate via the EnTrade platform.

Because all our nature markets are based on defined geographies, you can be sure the credits you buy will fund nature-based projects that mitigate excess nutrients in watercourses local to your business or development.

Trade nutrient credits with confidence

In collaboration with conservation experts, we support landholders to deliver high-quality nature-based projects that reduce eutrophication. This is a process where nutrients accumulate in the watercourse, increasing the growth of microorganisms that could deplete oxygen levels and harm wildlife.

Examples of projects that can mitigate excess nutrients include new wetlands and changes to farming practices such as planting cover crops or introducing buffer zones of vegetation. Many projects also generate additional environmental benefits, including reducing flood risk.

We work with conservation experts to certify and quantify nutrient reductions using standards approved by the Environmental Markets Board, which also regulates our markets. We hold a credit reserve to manage risk and put legal agreements in place to ensure that projects are maintained properly.
