A new deal for farmers with Anglian Water

After a successful pilot with farmers around reservoirs and within key ground water areas last year, Anglian Water are widening the Innovation Grant offer for this Autumn's Round 2. There will be a maximum grant rate of £7,500/holding to help support farmers and share some of the risk associated to trialling new approaches, changing practices and or scaling up ideas to be incorporated into business as usual.

Unlike other grants there are no set options so if you are considering something which could help protect raw water quality from pesticides, nutrients, pathogens or soil loss we want to hear from you. Land connectivity is key and by working and learning together we hope to find local solutions to local challenges.

The online application process, which is hosted via EnTrade, will open on the 17th October and run until 30th November 2022. Assessment of the applications will occur in early December 2022 and offers made prior to the New Year. Payments will be made upon signed agreements being returned but by no later than March 2023 so that any successful applicants can progress with their ideas at the next available window within the 2023 farming calendar.
